Hayward Echostar: Check System Pump has stalled. 8 year old pump worked fine until this message appeared. It will not start anymore.
Anyone have this issue before. Pump tries to start. You hear a click and nothing.

Typical EcoStar pump failure. 8 years is a good run for the EcoStar pump. Replace it with a TriStar pump.

We have seen that failure for the EcoStar many times in the past couple of years. The control head dies. You can replace the control head but it is almost the same price as the whole pump. There are plenty of threads about it, but not solutions.
