I just redid the plumbing on my above ground pool from the standard 1 1/2 inch flexible tubing to 2 inch pvc. I don't have a flow meter but I do believe it does appear to be flowing more water now. Before my cheaper 1 hp pump was running at an average of 640 watts and now it is averaging 700 watts. Am I right in thinking that is a good thing?

Sure thing, I didn't take too many though and of course didn't take a before. I still need to work on the wiring and replacing the eight year old Intex SWG.
