Hello, I'm the owner of a seven year old Intex-Ultra Frame 16' x 32' Rectangle Metal Frame Above Ground Pool. I actually got it free from my brother who upgraded to an in-ground. It's performed well in it's third Summer with us. I'm just here looking for tips or advice on how to inexpensively maintain a pool in Minnesota that maybe gets used 4 months a year.

Have you ever come to the right place!! I want you to look at this link:
Most of it can be bought at Walmart or Lowes/Home Depot! What is even better is you may not need must of the stuff listed in the link. We believe in adding ONLY what your pool needs based on a good water test.

Now this is where some people bulk........................you need to spend a bit more money............BUT Kim! I don't want to spend any more money on this pool AND the Pool $tore will best it for free.....................Well Wolfie is it REALLY free if you walk out of the pool $tore with your harms full and wallet empty??

Here is a link to a couple of the test kits we use on our pools: Test Kits Compared
