Just saying hello from Northern Virginia. I have a 2 story center hall colonial on 1/2 acre with a 54' x 19' @ 26k gal inground pool with attached 6' spa. Equipment includes:

  • vintage Anthony brass pump/Magnetek Century Centurion motor
  • Pentair FNSP 48 DE filter
  • Raypak P-R336A natural gas heater
  • vintage Intermatic T100 series timers
  • Pentair 2" multivalve
  • Jandy valves (mixed)
  • 2" PVC plumbing

Near term issues include possibly relocating pool equipment (it's between the house and the pool and we hate it); upgrading to pool automation (new VS pump, actuators, controller, power center, etc.); and adding a pressure-side cleaner (current plumbing stubbed in for either pressure or suction side.

Looking forward to learning, sharing and commiserating!

Brian,

Good job on your introduction... Looking forward to your questions in the appropriate sub-forum..

Thanks for posting from one crony to another...

Welcome Brian,

My only suggestion is that a robot is far more up to date than a pressure/suction side cleaner. Less equipment to deal with, cheap to run and they work a whole mess better. AND saves you the trouble of having to brush the sides of the pool! Win!
