We bought a home with a pool in 2009 and I spend about 5x the time working on it as I spend in it. But, my wife and kids love it! I like it better myself since replacing everything Hayward with Pentair (except for the cartridge filter). I'm tuning it up for the swimming season - replacing the gear set and a T-valve in an A&A Manufacturing 6 port in-floor cleaning system; installing a repair kit on the acid tank; replacing the pH and ORP probes; and evicting an accumulation of leaves; spiders; and weeds from our screened-in pool equipment enclosure. The pool temp is 59, but that's better than in most of the US right now
