Part of the reason for doing a SLAM rather than a one-time "nuke it from orbit" shock is that the FC levels can be lower so chances of damaging equipment are also reduced. The other reason, obviously, is that maintaining the FC level until everything is dead reduces the chances of the algae coming back to haunt you.
 
So close - yet so far away. Yesterday we saw a better improvement in our OCLT test. Not 100% to pass it but enough to tell us we were closer. Last night, Mother Nature dumped two inches of rain - and there went that.

First test just now at 930AM ET (delayed by torrential downpours for multiple hours this morning) and I was at a 16.5 . *sigh*

363 oz of the bleach added. Supposed to rain like this for days. EEK!
