I have a Goldline Aqualogic and I think the freeze temp is set at 42F. I’d like to lower it to 36F. I’ve looked in manual and YouTube and both show that in the config menu there is a freeze temp setting. I don’t have this setting in my menu. I have all the other menu options including freeze protection enable/disable, but no temp option. How can I get this option?

I had pool co come look and they were confused why it was missing as well. Any help greatly appreciated.

Welcome to TFP.

Your system is old. Goldline introduced AquaLogic in 2003. Hayward acquired Goldline in August of 2004. Hayward discontinued AquaLogic in 2008 and replaced it with Hayward ProLogic. Firmware 3.XX and above is for ProLogic systems.

Your system does not have all the features that have been added to ProLogic and OmniLogic since 2008.

Hayward has an upgrade kit to OmniPL.

Freeze Protection: This function protects the pool, plumbing, and equipment against freeze damage.

If Freeze Protection is enabled and the AIR temperature sensor falls below 38°F, the Aqua Logic will turn on
the aux relay to circulate the water.

IMPORTANT: this only enables operation of the AUX output during freeze--see the “Filter Pump Config.” menu to enable freeze protection for the main circulation system.

Freeze Protection Temperature

Select the temperature to be used for freeze protection.

Temperature is adjustable from 33ºF- 42ºF (1ºC - 6ºC). 38ºF (3ºC) is default.

This threshold will be used for all outputs that have freeze protection enabled.

What year is your unit?

Can you show the door label?

The freeze protection comes set to 38 degrees.

If it is adjustable, it should be under Filter Configuration.

Freeze Protection.

Freeze protection is used to protect the pool and plumbed equipment against freeze damage.

If freeze protection is enabled and the AIR temperature sensor falls below 38°F, the Aqua Logic will turn on the filter pump to circulate the water.

If “Pool and Spa” is selected in the Pool/Spa sub-menu (see page 20), the valves will also alternate between the pool and spa
every 15 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. I think this is the answer. Home was built in 2006 so it makes sense.

It comes set to 38, so if it is set to 42, then it has been changed.

By 2006, the option to change the Freeze Set Temperature was probably in the software.

Unless your system was really old stock when it was installed, it probably has Freeze Protection Adjustments available.
