Hi

I have an issue that I can't seem to find an answer to on this forum(if I missed it I apologize!). My SWG seems to produce 100% of the time that the pump is running. What I mean by this is no matter if I set the SWG to 5% or 50% it appears to be generating chlorine the entire time and never stop producing. Clearly this results in my chlorine levels sky rocketing and causing me to turn it off for extended periods of time in order to get it back at normal levels. Any ideas what could be causing this to happen? I assume it's some sensor that is bad but wondering if anyone else has seen this issue or can point me in the right direction.

Thank you@

The cell is generating when the "Cell On" light is on and the cell is not generating when the "Cell Resting" light is on.

You can check actual production by checking the amperage.

You can access the cord wires where they connect. You can measure DC amps using an inline or clamp method.

OK it threw the error again so I went out and tested it. I don't actually know how I can test it while it is in a failed state. What I did was change the output to 0%. Unplugged the red cord, patched in the MM between the 2 disconnected leads, then put the % back to 100%. It went up to 5.58 amps. The MM says not to use it for more than 10 seconds and then wait for 15 minute for another test. I wonder if I just get a new cable if that will make any difference.

Panel is about a year old and I never put in a ORP sensor or any additions to the system. The SWG sensor was changed about 5 months ago which is when I believe this all started but I'm not 100% sure. At first I thought it was the change of the season and I needed to lower the percentage and runtime of the pump but it wasn't any of that in the end.

Sorry for the delay in getting the pictures, I was traveling.

I did call for warranty claim but they haven't come this past week because the weather is too cold for it be running right now. I'll take a look at the relay but nothing stuck out when I was in there earlier.
