Fun With Automation

Although this is our third pool, it is our first with any significant automation. Our last pool had a Pentair VSP, so we did learn the joys of managing schedules, speeds etc. The new pool has all Pentair equipment with EasyTouch automation. Not only can I see/control everything from my iPhone and iPads, but the ScreenLogic software is integrated with Amazon Echo, of which we have four in our house.

I have a pretty simple pool and absolutely do not "need" automation. But, now that I have used it, it would be like using a car without a Key Fob, like using a TV by rotating a knob, like an old rotary dial phone instead of a smart phone.

I don't need it, but I'd buy it again tomorrow...

Pool builders should install automation for free with the promise that after 30 days they will come and take it out if you don't like it.
