Thanks so much! I know that I can do this. It's been fun doing the water chemistry, not so much on the brushing. We haven't swam this week, been super busy with work and life. Planning to get back in tomorrow though. Fence is done! It's beautiful. I will post pics later. We have to wait for tge wood to dry out to stain. I think we're going to do a stain that will enhance the natural beauty of the wood, that wood is so pretty to look at! Everything is coming together slowly but surely!

@kimkats Should caps be placed back on inpool umbrella sleeves after you're done using it for the day or should they be left off? Trying to avoid gunk, mildew, or algae from possibly happening

In another post, someone was looking for caps because of the gunk found inside the sleeves. So if your pool has lots of floating debris, I would put caps on.
BTW - how is that robot skimmer? Which model is it?
 
Your pool needs it's own turkey baster! SAY WHAT???? That will allow you to suck stuff out of the holes and allow you to squirt chlorine right into the holes to make sure they get good and clean. I would put the caps on as often as you remember to.

Furniture is starting to arrive. The PB is finally getting the deck, retaining wall, and bball court pressure washed tomorrow. All of my chemistry is in line today except CH is sitting at 200. @HermanTX or @Newdude what product brand in home depot, lowes, walmart, or ace hardware stores can I get to get that CH up to 250? Trying to avoid the pool store like the plague, but if must go in there, I will wear my Troublefreepool t-shirt as free advertisement 😂😂😂

Google them all up locally for the best price per pound. It can vary even at the same store with one 4 lb bag $11 and the one right next to it $19.

HD/ Lowes and WM have clorox brand and I just looked up their MSDS and it said 1000mg per KG calcium chloride so that's 100%

HTH is Ok at HD too.

Plain Jane Calcium Hardness increaser is what you want with no magic listed.

When there's no rush, I like Puritech Calcium Chloride from Amazon.


P.s. pool is lookin FANTABULOUS. :goodjob:

I get mine from HD, I have purchased the small bag and have ordered the 25lb bucket online at HD.

The pool looks wonderful. It has come together very well.

You may want to put some steppingstones between the bb court and the pool. The kids will make a bee line to the cool pool after having fun on the court!!!

They are really nice looking. We have 4 more to put together and then I will seal them with Thompson's Clear Water Seal. We hope to have them up this weekend. They should serve the purpose but I want to make sure the wood is well protected from the elements because the equipment area will get lots of sun.
