French Patter Dilema (am I being dramatic?)

So I'm getting my travertine installed, we opted for the french pattern. The installer showed me pictures of the installation he did where he didn't quite follow the traditional french patter, but instead, he staggered the stones so in the end, it looks "random but also diagonal". I liked it and said, yea lets do that. Not sure if I made the right decision, this is how its tunring out. Also my wife noticed a slight color difference from the coping and the deck. Ugh, please tell me we're over thinking it. I can't go back to the installer and tell them to re do it as I agreed to the pattern, unless I pay some good $$$ to remove it and start over. Or, start the traditional french patter from this row.

I wouldn't consider that a French pattern at all. That is just some random pattern. A French pattern never has 4 corners touching. It depends if you like it or not. If you don't, pull it up and have it redone so you aren't reminded of it every time you go out side. Here is a couple of pics of ours for reference

Its a good chunck that'd need to have pulled up, might break them... thanks for your response

I like it how it is.............I bet you PB does too as it is MUCH easier to do than the traditional way. I really don't see that much of a difference in colors from the decking and the coping. I will also say I LIKE a different color for the two as helps highlight the pool.

You could start over or just leave it. Unrealized expectations result in disappointment. My opinion only.....if they are properly installed and solid, continue to move forward, complete and fill the pool. Once you are swimming in your new beautiful pool and enjoying your yard I'm thinking the pattern will not be an issue. Then again my pool is surrounded by old red bricks.

Thanks for the responses, my options are:
1. Live with it, it's not horrible, it's actually unique.
2. Continue this row the way it is and add french pattern around it (attached sample, somewhat to scale)
