Hello to all,

Have a Maytronics Proteus DX4 and i found a sm piece of plastic in the impeller area. What signaled this was when i tried restarting it and it would go about 1-2 ft and shut down.

There was also a fair amt of palm string filiamets wrapped around the impelller shaft too that i removed, but before i tried running it again, was seeking advice from you robot experts to ascertain if the pic of the part enclosed is from the robot, or did the plastic part somehow make it into the pool & the robot sucked it into the impeller area.

Note, i also took a pic of the impeller area as well.

Thank you and Merry CHRISTmas to all of you and your families!!!

Is it soft like rubber or hard plastic?

Hard to say as it could be something from the strain relief attachment on the blue power cord or it might just be a random bit of plastic that the robot picked up in the pool.

Is the robot working correctly now?

Thanks Matt & Jim.

It's hard plastic, not rubber. The white O-ring is intact that secures the power cord in the top chassis.

It is disassembled until i know what it was so if I have to order something, i still have open access.

If nothing is provided to firm up its relevance, then I'll assemble and test. Of course I'll post back results.

Thanks
