Forum needs auto-correct

How about "loose" when they mean "lose" ? Auto Correct won't catch that because each is a valid word. They just mean two different things. <shrug>

I mostly use my phone… I rely on iOS autocorrect a lot to fix the mess my fat fingers create, but there way too many things it doesn’t catch and or things it just change to other words… no autocorrect is capable of reading minds.

I find that this forum messes with my auto correct. I use this primary on my iPad and if I backspace to clean something up the auto correct kicks in incorrectly.

This does not happen on any other forum.

I am guilty of this - & what makes it worse is that if u ever type it wrong once the helpful iPhone predictive text will keep putting it there for u. I often don’t see it until later - sometimes I go back & edit, sometimes not. In most people’s defense, Algea is an actual word & perhaps they have greek mythological spirits in their pool

No. For me autocorrect on iOS messes up everything… happens that here we use some terms that uncommon, hence likely wrong, to the autocorrect.

Let's be honest, without all of these autocorrect interventions, many threads would be half as much fun to read.

Just a recent example: "mutating acid"

The most frustrating thing on the autocorrect is when it decides that because you wrote Y the X before it must be wrong and it changes it to Z.
It happened few times last night… to avoid throwing the phone in the wall I quickly flush that out of my mind, so don’t remember what the words were.
