Foamy pool when SWG is on

Solaxx (Saltron) Reliant / Purechlor R5
So upon opening my pool this year my fiancé added almost an entire bottle of algecide into the pool. He was supposed to add a bottle of shock. Now whenever the SWG is running I get white foam! The pool is crystal clear and my water test results are good. I have been keeping the SWG off and supplementing with liquid chlorine to minimize the foam. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the foaming?

Can you post pictures of the product and ingredients on the label? Worst case give us the exact brand and product name.

Chlorine should take care of it. I would take the FC to SLAM level and keep it there for a few days until the foaming clear...chlorine should take care of it. I wouldn't add any other potions or products to clear the foam, let the chlorine do the work.

It is safe for people and equipment (i.e. you can swim) up to slam level.

I can take a picture of the bottle when I am home. I know for fact it does not contain copper. I also only have it on hand in case I have an algae situation which never seems to happen but I hate making that trip to the pool store. Any idea how long it could take for this situation to clear?

Every pool is different. You are lucky as your pool is smallish. If you are diligent (checking and replacing often) with the slam, probably a couple days...

We don't recommend algaecides...waaaay more problems, and except for closing, not necessary.

Perfect. Raise your FC to 24 and keep it there with the SLAM process. When the foam is gone, let FC drift back down and fire up the SWCG.
