Flagstone Coping Sealant

I am looking for detailed suggestions on what people have used to seal their flagstone. I have a salt water pool and my stone is disintegrating. It's flaking off in layers. I'm a single mother now with no help and no idea what to do. I was going to use Deck O Shield but it gets terrible reviews. Help!

DryTreat 40sk is a high quality penetrating sealer and consolidator (40SK Consolidator & Water Repellent) ... but you might not like the price. Prosoco also makes very good products but it's hard to find unless there's dealer in your area ... it's also really expensive too.

My stone had the same symptoms, delaminating and turning into sand. I have a friend who is now a TFP member that treated my stone with a consolidator, and then a sealer. It stopped the sand issue, and retarded the flaking, both of which have returned this year, but to a lesser degree than originally. He supplied the materials, which were very expensive. So I don't have any insights about where or how to get it. I will likely have him repeat the process the next time he visits. But I also have another issue with my deck that might necessitate its replacement, in which case I'll probably go with a cantilever style, or perhaps keep the coping look but use an all-concrete solution and rid myself of the stone issue for good.
