First timer in TX

Hey y’all. We live in the northern suburbs of Dallas. We are currently under construction with our new pool. Just here to learn as much as possible while we anxiously await our completion date. I’m still torn on SWG or not and/or the Paramount Ultra UV2/Clear O3 system. I thought I was convinced SWG was the way to go but now I’m second guessing that. I stumbled across this site and am going to start reading. Thanks for having me.

Welcome! You’ve come to the right place. I think you’ll find that folks here are big fans of SWGs and that UV/o2 systems are mostly a waste of money.

Jim,

If you want a sanitation system, then you need a SWCG.. if you want "All Magic, but no wabbit".. then go with the UV/clear...

You'd be better off just hiring a voodoo doctor to come by your pool and ward off the algae.

13 year user of SWCG and love it! Pool is almost maintenance free since I don’t have to mess around with adding chlorine.

Hey neighbor, we were in the same spot last year and pulled the trigger on salt water. 1 year later and we are still loving that decision. No corrosion, water feels great and is very easy to manage.
