Well officially out of reagent for the FAS-DPD test until refills arrive tomorrow... Guess I'll just add as I have been to keep levels up until it arrives...
I guess not… I just tried doing a sample with three times the amount of sample water and five drops of the reagent R-0600 thinking that maybe it would multiply out to roughly CL 15 MAX. The color sample was well above the 5 ppm display. So I just added another 32 ounces of 10%… I’d rather error on the side of caution and over chlorinate until my reagent refill arrives tomorrow.
Think I’m getting close. Only lost 3FC last night and tonight’s test shows 0-.5 CC. (Very little if any at all). Water is crystal clear. No debris. At 16FC now. Every mornings overnight test seems to get better & better. This site is filled with amazing information. I can’t thank you all enough for your help and encouragement.
Feeling that I’m nearing the end of my slam I did a 25 mL test in addition to the 10 mL test and get drastically different results… 25 mL test showed CL of 11.4 and 10 mL test showed CL of 14… Am I doing something wrong? Or should they be that far apart
They should not be that far apart. But a 25 ml test with that FC means a lot of drops. And all it takes is a variation in drop size to make a big difference.
