First time pool startup

Let's call it muratic. pH minus is a pool store name for sodium bisulfate (dry acid) which you should not use.

Ok, great. Do you have pool math? Link-->PoolMath

If so, make sure you logged into Pmath with the same login as TFP. Home screen click on gear in upper right. Scroll to the bottom and enable sharing with TFP.

Then we can see your chemical results and your additions.
Yeah I have pool math. And I thought I already connected it. I have that enabled

, I get a blank page with no entries.
Because they aren't being logged.

Shtutty I need to spend $8 of yours on the yearly subscription. The free version only saves one log. The paid version saves them all. (And then you need to save/log them)

It's very helpful for us to be able to see what's been going on, which is SUPER helpful for you. And it's only $8 a year. :)

Yes, but in my experience you can see that one log when the log is shared...No?

I wouldn’t mind. So people will only see my logs if I subscribe? Any other features

Stabilizer. It looked like it was granular. The chlorine was liquid. And I kinda just put it near the jets. Seems like I may have done that wrong
Unfortunately, yes. Hang in a sock in front of a return like a carrot on a stick.

Oh boy. Will it eventually break down?
Yes, brush a couple times a day to get it to dissolve. Fortunately, CYA tends to stain vinyl more than plaster.

Anytime there are chemicals to add, go to this blog post. It explains, typically in the last paragraph, how to add the chemical...

If the article doesn't have it, then search for the chemical (i.e. calcium chloride) or the parameter (CH) within TFP. There will be an article on that chemical or parameter, like "CH - Further Reading" that will have instructions...like this:

Awesome thanks for all the help! Hopefully I get my PH level back down tomorrow and can start getting this pool cleared up.

Think of your Ph like this. It was purple and the test only reaches 8.2 but yours could have been much higher than 8.2 so your just lowering based on values you know not unknown variables. It will eventually come into readable range 😁

After I get my PH right, should I add chlorine in the evening? Or it doesn’t matter. It is overcast today.
