First Opening on This Pool... Great Results!

Last weekend I removed the cover of my pool, reconnected the filter, heater, etc., and brought the water level back up to where it belongs.

I am happy to report that I must have done everything correctly last fall, because it’s still very clear and the initial test results are well within reason:

Temp – 57 deg
FC – 8.5
CC – 0.0
PH – 7.6
TA – 170
CYA – 40-50ish (still hate that test)

Any real reason to worry about the TA with a vinyl liner above ground? My PH & TA have both always been very stable in this range.

Your numbers held really well. As for the TA, if the pH remains stable, I'd leave it. Unless you find later that the pH seems to rise exceptionally fast, then you can take action to lower it. No reason to rush it. Nice work!
