First attempt with brass inlay

My wife the artist is finishing up her latest masterpiece and wanted a Walnut frame with brass inlay. First time doing brass but came out really nice. The is the outer frame it will also have a linen wrapped inner frame.

Wow... I was naive & dropped a $100 print off for framing a few years back..

When I picked it up I got socked with a 600$ bill.. wudah cudah shudah asked; I didn’t know what I was stepping into.

That's a really nice frame.

I have the original Dogs Playing Poker. I think that it's by Renoir. I really need to get a decent frame for it.

Also, I didn't know that the government ever printed a $600 dollar bill. You learn something new every day.

I make an inner frame wrapped in linen (or some other material) for most of the frames that I make. This is the traditional method for oil paintings.

Sounds like Michael's. The frames i make would go for $2k and up. If i didn't do them her pictures would be sold unframed.

Picture frame is done and awaiting my lovely bride to finish up the picture so I can frame it. It came out really nice I am quite happy with this one! It'll be a shame to sell it at our next show (hopefully!)! Now I need to get cracking on a Teak and a Cherry jewelry/music box....

Looks very nice.

Whenever I buy a frame, I just leave in the picture that comes in the frame since it's usually better than the pictures that I have.
