Oh, and deep cleaning the filters. Start by cleaning the filters as usual.
Then fill a big trashcan and mix in 2 cups of the cheapest powdered dish washer detergent you can find. Mix in well and soak the filters for a few days. Thoroughly clean and rinse the filters and notice all the oil and junk is gone. I was reading here some place that you can also do a mild acid wash of the filters, something like 10-1 or 20-1 water/Muriatic acid. I expect this is if you have very hard water.
