Final Inspections ....

All - my final inspections are scheduled for later this week. I plan to be on hand. My understanding is that our local inspectors range from thorough to drive-by. What should I make sure gets looked at? Any questions to ask?

Usually they check all the safety code issues like fence height, bonding grid and gas/electrical connections. Mine also checked, and failed, soil/hill shoring up. They required me to plant grass on a hill created by the excavation to shore up the ground. Cost me an extra $3k to have that done.

Just let them know you've taken the day off works so that you can be there when he comes by and that you may have some questions for him. That should avoid a "drive-by".
