My pool renovation is nearing the final phases. I expect new pebblesheen to be applied and the pool filled with water within the next 2 weeks.
I already purchased the TF-Pro-Salt testing kit so that I can properly test and apply the TFP method from day 1.

I decided to perform the tests on my fill water and log an entry in the poolmath app to get familiar with the process.
Here are the results:

pH = 8.2
FC = 0.5
CC = 0
CH = 175
TA = 120
CYA = 0

The question:
Can I test for the presence of metals in the fill water in order to determine if I need to spend money on Jack's Magic Blue Stuff sequestrant or not?

Your fill water looks like it is primarily from the Colorado river. The only metal of issue is iron, and it is in very small quantities.
The company applying the plaster should let you know if a sequestrant is recommended.

City water here in the valley doesn't have metals in it. Now if you were in the outer edges of the valley where independent water companies are the suppliers there might be metals. The cities properly condition and clean their water to avoid this. They use lake water, CAP water and some well water but it is all mixed together to keep metals and other issues down. You are safe. Your CH of 125 is typical. I have 150 in mine and it's why my pool is now at 900 CH and must be drained so I can use my SWG again. Assuming you're getting new plaster, but even if it's just an acid wash, your pool will use more muriatic acid than you're used to in the first year or two after the work so be prepared for that. Because of the high CH in our water it's recommended to use soft water to maintain your pool level. This is what I aim to do when I refill mine. Hard water in and then maintain with soft water. Maintain your CSI at -.03 to 0 and you should be good.
