Fill-o-matic leaking at the hose

It had a 90 degree elbow and I can't get the water hose to seal..Tried a new water hose gasket and it seems to keep getting worse.
Has anybody else had a similar issue or know if it requires a special washer?

I wonder if they changed the design of these. Where is there a 90 elbow on yours? Mine has a short braided hose that connects to the "body" and the other end connects to the garden hose.

I wondered that also, only model shows the hose screwed directly into the body..I tried that and it isn't leaking so maybe I will just stay with that
