Hey all,

so, my 2 yr old had an accident in the pool today. I found him reaching for a strange floating object in the water...."DON'T TOUCH!!!"

any way, he had a swim diaper on, and only a few pieces escaped. I was able to skim most of it out of the pool. I bumped the chlorine level to 24, my CYA is 60.

So, just to clarify...leave pump running, shock level, and ensure I pass OCLT tonight?

Additionally, I was going to add MA to lower my Ph of 8. Can I continue to do that? I'm adding 13 OZ MA

Personally, I think you should be fine ... FC bumped up to shock level for sanitizing purposes ... filter running all night (maybe a vacuum 1st thing in the morning) ... sounds like a good solution to me

Chiefwej,

Ph was tested yesterday, MA was purchased this AM with intent to use PRIOR to the incident! Just making sure I could go ahead with adding. I'll probably put a little less than I need in, then check tomorrow after I pass OCLT. Thank you for pointing that out though. Appreciate the attention to detail!

Doodie in the pool!

I wouldnt be be concerned with going to shock level. A little bump in FC if it makes you feel better.

If you adjusted pool math for 14.5% concentration and have current and target I wouldn't measure too much added risk with MA just add 1/3 slowly in front of return
