FC SLAM target question.

Hi, I’ve been battling an algae/green pool problem for the last week and progress seems slow.
Using the pool calculator I am given a SLAM target of 18 [my CYA is about 60). When I read at other threads I am seeing people talk about higher targets for lower CYA levels and am wondering whether my target is correct and whether it explains my painfully slow progress?
(CC has been consistently 0.5 or less)

FC/CYA Levels
SLAM level for a CYA of 60 is 24ppm FC.

Raise your FC to that level and maintain it as often as possible. Follow the SLAM Process

The problem is that you are using Pool Calculator. TFP runs and supports the PoolMath app and the PoolMath webpage.

SLAM FC level is 40% of your CYA level, so for 60 your FC target is 24. You can find that here: FC/CYA Levels.

Thank you that explains it then!!
I have been using the recommended shock level shown in the calculator which I must now deduce is not the same as the recommended SLAM Level for FC?

I didn’t even realize that I was using a different calculator, I knew it looked different but thought it had just been updated (duh!).it even had a drop down menu to select Troublefreepool targets/“ranges”!
Hopefully things will go better now!
