If a pool build has substantial delays for whatever reason, are there any concerns with a project stalling for months just after shotcrete? 100 degree, 100% humidity summers in south Texas. How long is too long?

Biggest issue would be the shell popping out of the ground and/or water stagnation for mosquitoes. As long as they have sufficient drainage and openings in the shell. It should be fine.

We have seen pools sit empty for years and be brought back to life. You just don’t want mother nature trying to reclaim the hole in the ground so don’t let dirt or water accumulate in it.
What is the status of the plumbing? Are there open trenches around the shell?

Completely what-if scenario. Considering doing an owner build and doing some of the tile and rock work myself, and other little odds and ends on weekends. Just trying to gauge if it‘s feasible and what “working time” I would have if I decide to tackle it.
Been around construction my whole life. Very capable of GC’ing the project and handling some of this finish work from a skill set standpoint. No rush on my end and no issues with a lengthy build time if it came down to that. Unless of course it would compromise the integrity of the shell by leaving it exposed.
