ERR on Spa when turning on.

Have an err message on spa when touch the spa button on a Pentair easy touch PL4/PSL4 control system indoor control panel. Any suggestions? Thanks

I am new to a salt water in ground pool and spa. someone else cleans and manages the pool for now. But I went out to the main panel on the heater. it says pool and spa heater locked I think was the wording. Didn’t really know what I was doing. So pushed a few buttons and got no where. I will check exact wording tomorrow.
That probably doesn’t help but will look again.

We were all new to pools at some point and have done the same thing...

You have an automation system PSL4.. When you open the door you will see a display and some buttons.

There should be a "V" for valve button. If you push the V button, it should switch between the Pool mode and the Spa mode. If you push the V button again, it will switch back to the Pool mode.

What we are trying to determine is if the problem is a system problem, or a remote problem.

I am not up on remote issues, so let's ask Tom what he thinks... Calling @ogdento

Let's see if you're having a communication issue with the indoor/outdoor boards... on the indoor or outdoor panel, go to Menu > Diagnostics > Software Rev. It should report a firmware number for UIC (universal indoor controller) and UOC (outdoor controller).
