My pool builder sent me the following image of the swg/automation he is planning on using for my pool. Unfortunately I can't find manuals that list the exact models in the image.

Can someone explain what models/manuals correspond to what my pb sent?

That is a Hayward ProLogic system that Hayward no longer lists on their website. You can find ProLogic manuals with a search.

The Prologic system has been replaced by the OmniPL system. Hayward even sells ProLogic to OmniPL upgrade kits to have customers replace their Prologic system.

I would not accept a ProLogic system for a new build. Insist on the OmniPL PLUS HLBPLUS4W bundled with the TCELL940 cell.

Do I even need an automation system for my pool setup? (No water features, no spa)? Or is an automation system effectively a requirement if you have a SQG + VSP +Heater?

FEATURES
AquaPlus simplifies and enhances pool and spa ownership by combining control and salt chlorination into one easy-to-install, easy-to-operate package.

With AquaPlus, programming essential functions for maximum performance, effectiveness and cost-efficiency is a snap.

It lets pool owners set filtration and temperature schedules: steady all week, increasing during busy weekends, or cutting back on weekdays when activity is limited.

They can even control other backyard features, including patio and landscape lighting, water features and firepits.

And with a variety of remote controllers, they can program and manage it all from practically anywhere; indoors, poolside or even in the pool.

With AquaPlus, pool owners can automate water chemistry with our integrated Sense and Dispense® option.

@ajw22 after further searching/help from the forum, it seems like PL Plus / AuqaPro/ProLogic is on the Hayward website. So I don't think I quite have the ammo I need to push back to my PB in a strong way as if he is giving me obsolete/discontinued products

SKU: PL-PLUS

Ask the builder to change the Automation to the most current model or give you a substantial discount.

I would not accept a 20 year old designed system.

It is your pool and your money.

PB says the AquaPro is $3,300 and the OmniPL is $4,400. Are those prices generally reasonable?
Yes, in the overall expense of the pool you want to start with the most modern equipment that will last 10+ years. Otherwise you will be buying the OmniPL upgrade kit eventually.
