Eliminating Sticky Algae

Greetings Experts! I’ve recently used Algaecide to turn my pool from green to clean. I was able to vacuum and filter out all the dead algae. But now I have stubborn algae residue that is sticking to my plaster pool surface and will not come off. I’ve tried hard brushing, vacuuming, chlorine, Algaecide, etc. you name it and nothing works! The sticky slippery stain just reappears after a few hours.

Any tips??

How have you tried chlorine ? To what extent and how are you testing ?

I used chlorine. I tested my water at Pinch-a-Penny and Leslie’s (local pool stores) and got a clean bill of health but I still have stubborn sticky streaks of Algae.
