I have an easytouch that periodically resets itself. There's no trigger it seems. Not after it shuts off, no errors. It just clears the schedules. How can I troubleshoot this?

@Nathan Johnson so it's not really resetting itself (as if somebody pressed the reset button) so much as it's clearing out the eeprom memory?

Few questions:
1. can you tell if it's only clearing the schedules or is also clearing any circuit names/assignments and/or any valve configurations?
2. do you have an indoor or wireless handheld controller on your system (and are those also cleared)
3. how old is it?
4. I don't really understand what this was intended to mean...
Not after it shuts off, no errors.

if the board's eeprom is truly being erased periodically, and there's no indoor or wireless handheld controller attached (to/from which it might push/pull configuration data), then it sounds like the eeprom memory that's embedded in the microcontroller on the board has gone bad. It does happen but usually it's after thousands (to tens of thousands) of cycles, hence the how old is it question.

Would this coin shaped battery have anything to do with it? CR2032, I think. I have noticed a 'pool err' notice. 6 yrs old.

I read the pool err code is indicative of fouled temp sensor. Got 5v at water and 2.5 at air Temps. Would actually resetting things help my case? Is changing the sensors wise in this situation?

Put 10K resistors in place of the temperature sensors as a test. It is a less expensive way of testing your theory.
