Hi! So we just had our pool installed and Easytouch panel, ic 60, clean and clear 520, and intelliflo 3 wired. The intelliflo3 has its own capabilities that I can control from my phone—well that I could. Now, it will not let me do anything. It just says controlled by automation, to control it site y I need to disconnect it from automation. Are both pieces so smart they are arguing with themselves? The pump was working fine and then all of a sudden we realized it wasn’t on. It seems like the Easytouch just says ok goodnight and cuts the power to it. I’ll get a notification that it’s offline. The panel doesn’t have screenlogic in it, so whenever I need to make changes I have to go to the panel. Is there a way to still control my pump using the phone app even though it’s connected to the Easytouch panel? Thank you!

No.
Your pump is not wired correctly if you get a notice that the pump is offline when the Easytouch turns it off. The Pump should get continuous power. So it needs to be wired to the Line side of the Pump/Filter Relay in the Easytouch.

Without Screenlogic, you will need to go to the panel to make any changes. You should have gotten an Intellicenter. The Easytouch is an old automation system.

  1. Your Intelliflo3 power needs to be wired from the LINE side screws 1 & 3 of the filter pump relay, not the LOAD screws, so it gets continuous power.
  2. When your EasyTouch system is in AUTO mode it is controlling the pump and the pump says "controlled by automation"
  3. When the EasyTouch is in SERVICE mode the EasyTouch will release the pump from its control and you can use the app to control the pump.
I agree you should have got the IntelliCenter that has app control built in.

Post pics of the inside of your EasyTouch panel showing the Load Center wiring and we can point out which pump wires need to be moved.
