dropping Acid while still have CYA in the pool

I'm try to lower my TA, will it be a problem if have still try to raise cya in the pool?

Cyanurates add to the TA so as the stabilizer dissolves, TA will increase slightly and change the amount of acid needed to lower pH. It’s not a huge difference so I would just assume that your CYA is fully dissolved, put that number in PoolMath and then work on lowering TA with acid additions and aeration. Depending on how much CYA you are trying to dissolve, it’s acidity will also hold the pH a little bit making the aeration cycle to increase pH a little longer.

My TA was up to 2xx and ph was 8+, thanks for faulty test kit i have and give me the wrong reading and i keep adding stuff to the pool.

so now i'm try to lower the TA back to a lease near 120, and my cya is 0 now. I need my CYA up also lower TA

so should i wait TA back to normal to add CYA or can i add CYA while lowering TA?

As Matt explained, add the CYA. Just assume it is in the pool by putting your Target CYA into NOW in PoolMath for your determinations on how much acid to use to lower pH.

i'm have almost the same problem like you have, since the opening i have been working on it and bad test kit give me wrong reading and i raise the TA way up 200+. This will cause the cloudy water "milky"
I'm still try to fight for to lower the TA, but i though you should not drop much Acid at the same time? no more 20oz per 10k gallon water? i have been working lower TA for my pool few day by adding Acid slowly like 40oz, hope when i go home later on my TA back to normal range little high is ok just not 200+.
