The swg in my pool has been inop since I purchased, so I’ve always used chlorine. Does anyone know if there’s a drop in replacement and if the install is easy enough for a homeowner to do? Thx!

That is a Jandy Aquapure system. To purchase a replacement system that is Jandy, you must go through a pool professional/store.

If you would prefer to do this DIY, then we need pictures from farther back to see how you would install a system.

A Jandy system might integrate with your automation.

Very tight plumbing. If you wish to do DIY -- take a look how you are going to replumb that run from the heater that contains the SWCG.

Thx. Is the pvc the most challenging part of the replacement? Is the rest ok as a diy? Is there s specific drop in replacement? Thx again!

PVC will be the most challenging.
Not sure what you mean about the rest ok as a DIY. You will need to run the power cord to your automation and power the SWCG from the Load side of the pump/filter relay.

I would think an Aquapure 1400 might fit. Yours is an older model so not sure if it has changed. You would need to call a Jandy dealer for purchase and installation.
