You are correct dropping below tomorrow after midnight. If I can keep pumping at this rate 36 inches will be drained by midnight tomorrow.

Geez that's a lot of research to digest. So I called my good neighbor and asked him to read it. Hahaha just kidding.
He brought over an old pond pump to run alongside my submersible. So I can see how much that helps in about an hour, but so far the water is only 1/2 inch from the bottom of the tile.

Sorry. My advice was based on going below zero F. Adding antifreeze to lines when closing is common in many locales.

Do you have any more garden hoses you can use to siphon? Maybe even a vacuum hose?
I'm using 4 hoses just to reach the front yard, so all my hoses are being used. Maybe my pump is to slow because water is not coming out with a lot of pressure.

I don't understand why you are draining. Temps going to the freezing point or even slightly below for few hours during the night, will not freeze water in the pipes, pump or filter.
Down 20 inches so far. I was hoping to go 36 but with the wind and freeze coming I'm going to stop at 24 and pray I can fill it before midnight so freeze protection mode can run. Does this make sense.

Stop worrying about freezing. A body of water doesn't go solid simply because temperature has reached a freezing point.
Well I'm concerned about the pump casing cracking or something like that.
