Our pool closing is tomorrow and we’ve been able to drain the water down to below the skimmers. We were trying to use the waste setting on the filter to drain the rest from the main drain, but aren’t having luck having water come out. Confused as to how I should have the position set on the filter arms. Thanks!

You say the water level is below the skimmers. That makes me assume you have a main drain on the pool floor?
On many pools the main drain gets clogged and does not provide adequate water flow when run alone.

Yes we have a main drain but trying to remember how to drain from there.

With two valves and none of your pipes labeled we are only guessing.
You need to figure out which diverter changes between skimmers and main drain and turn the valve so the skimmers are blocked and the pump pulls only from the main drain.
As shown your pump is trying to pull from three pipes. You need to close two of the pipes and only have the main drain pipe open.

Im pretty sure the valve at the top are my 2 skimmers while the bottom is the main drain. For the top valve, which direction shout the valve be for it to be closed?With two valves and none of your pipes labeled we are only guessing.

Then turn the bottom valve handle so the handle is down in the picture and OFF blocks the pipe to the upper valve.
