Hello, I drained approximately 80% of pool water using pool math and refilled due to high CH levels. CH was at 825 ppm and city fill water is 90 ppm.
Chemistry levels now at:
CL 7
CC 0
Ph 7.8
TA 80
CH 210
CYA 50
WATER TEMP 71*
CSI INDEX -0.12

My CH is a little lower than recommended levels but it should be in range in a couple of months with evaporation and water refill levels at 90 ppm. Will the plaster be okay with CH lower than optimal level for a couple of months? It seems counterproductive to add calcium knowing my levels will rise with fill water.

Don't add CH. Your CSI is fine without it.

Good to know. The chemistry numbers I posted were from a couple of days ago. I just retested and my Ph dropped to 7.6, TA rose to 90, and water temp dropped to 67*. This puts my CSI at -0.29. I think my Ph and temp will rise so that should make the water a little less negative.
