I've been trying to get a replacement drain cap for a Jandy SFTM22-1.5. They are completely out of stock everywhere so I ordered from a distributor who had to order it direct from Jandy (and who is 4 hours from me.....).
It's now been 5 weeks. I'll never get a Jandy sand filter again, as everywhere seems to have Hayward drain caps in stock. Lesson learned.
Anyways, my main question is, does anyone else have this filter and used an alternate drain cap? I'm getting a bit desperate here. I bought some 1.25 inch white piping and it seems to fit over the drain and will screw on but I can't get it quite tight enough.
