I have a Dolphin T35 that will only move a couple of feet in each direction and struggles to stand up and climb the wall. I’ve checked the voltage on the controller and also the cable. Any ideas? Also, any recommendations for a replacement robot? Thanks!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us, we understand that you are having some issues with your Dolphin robot. According to the Dolphin behavior you describe, it seems that the Dolphin is using its Protection mechanism to shut down.
Please try the following troubleshooting steps, it will only take a few minutes:
If you
notice debris trapped in the impeller,
open the impeller, and
remove the debris, and
reassemble. (Use Phillips head screwdriver)
1. If the debris is not reachable follow the next steps.
2. Using a screwdriver open the screws or top cover.
3. Pull the impeller cover backwards to release it. Clean the debris trapped around the impeller. Assemble the impeller cover.
You can see in this link an instructive video for the described procedure:

Next, please check for any debris stuck in the driving system.
Caution-Unplug the power supply unit
1. Turn the robot upside down.
2. Try to rotate the brushes both ways, you should feel small resistance.
3. If you hear any noise ('Clicking noise') or feel more than a small resistance, this indicates that probably something is stuck.
4. You can try to reach and take out what is stuck
