Alright TFP geniuses, I need your wisdom. Because this place has made my pool so clear and I can see every stinking thing on the bottom of my pool, this sand is driving me crazy. For some reason my Dolphin won't pick it up and I don't know why. He goes right over it and just blows it to another spot. It's not dirt or dead algae - he picks all that up no problem and I clean out his filters regularly.
How do I get rid of this? I don't have a manual vacuum system and I really wasn't interested in buying all the hoses and garbage. It doesn't puff up or cloud up like dirt or algae, it just settles right back down so I'm assuming it's sand because I got lazy and didn't backwash my filter appropriately (I know, I know). Does my robot need new brushes? They look fine but what do I know? He's on his 4th season with us.
Thoughts? Suggestions on how the heck I get rid of this? I have tried brushing it away from the "crease" of where the slope meets the bottom but when the robot rolls over, it just resettles there.
I've highlighted the main patches but there's a couple of other smaller ones.

YES. I need this in m life, thank you!
How long does the handle extend? The crud is currently sitting at 8'
Can I use one of my existing extending brush/net poles?

It might be time to replace your ultra-fine filters—even if they look clean, they can get clogged over time with microscopic debris that reduces performance. Also, if your robot’s on its 4th season, the brushes could be worn down even if they seem okay visually.

Both can affect how well the robot handles fine sand.

If you’re still seeing issues after swapping the filters, it may be worth taking the unit to an authorized service center for a quick checkup—they can test suction and see if anything else is going on.
