Dolphin Active 30i issue

Does anyone else have a Maytronics/Dolphin pool cleaner and have issues with the cord? The pool cleaner is only a year old and the cord has always tangled, I have to untangle it almost daily. The bigger problem is that it's now shedding it's outer layer and leaving blue bits all over the pool. Has anyone else seen this? Were you able to get Maytronics to replace it under warranty? I have a ticket open with them, just waiting to hear something back. A bit aggravated with a pool cleaner that cost as much as this one did.

Thanks,
David

I took my swivel apart and added a little pool lube on the cable where it spins and seemed to help.
Sounds like you might have a bad cable if it's breaking up or instead of a PH of 7.4 you got confused and did 4. 7 :)

I had the same issues with my S200. Outer layer of the rubber cord just starts to crumble. Unfortunately it didn't happen until the third year of ownership, so no warranty replacement for me. I did buy a new one from Marina, but I'm waiting until next season to replace it. Robot still works with a cracked crumbling cord.

Maytronics support responded and suggested that I either take it to a local service center or send it in. I decided to take it to a local shop, last time I sent one to Maytronics the lost it. The shop said the issue with the outer layer is a PH issue. My PH is always between 7.4 and 8, so I'm not convinced that's it. In any case, they said it was covered and ordered a replacement cable. Hopefully the new one will help with the tangling issue as well, but I'm not holding my breath.

How did you take the swivel apart? On my current cable, it looks like it may be glued together.
