Cleaned my cartridge filters today and washed quite a bit of this out of them (Pentair CCP420)

Did u put de in your pool? Reminds me of all the cottonwood lint we get around here plus grime etc.

No, I don't use DE, but had a pool service open the pool and do the service last month. Maybe it's just dirt, dust, & other. It's been a while (early 90's) but it reminded me of the DE we used for our filter in Phoenix.

I hope they didn’t do that but who knows? May be algae as well, have u done an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test?
