Do I really need blocks if setting on compacted gravel?

I've got the blocks, but it seems like a shame to disrupt the gravel pack.

Its 3" minus compacted and then 3/4" minus compacted where the rails are.

It took me a while to start figuring just how much weight these blocks and pools hold back..

24 foot round = 16000 gallons x 8.34 pounds per gallon = 133,440 pounds or 66.72 tons for your pool

I dug down, put 2 inches of crusher run that turned into almost concrete, 1/2 inch of sand... my pool snapped 2 inch blocks in half like it was nothing... and sunk a good 2.5 inches down...

if no blocks are used it will sink, how much I am not sure, but do you want to find out after its filled, then take all the water back out, redo your nice level surface and then put blocks in...

It is your choice but I know exactly what your saying, I thought exactly the same thing...
