Do I need to deep clean sand filter?

Hi everyone. I’m season 6 with my pool and had a question about cleaning the filter. I need to confess that I have never done a deep clean of the filter sand. My pool looks great and I run it year round so I have not really felt that it “needs” to be deep cleaned. So my question is - “Do I really need to do a deep clean”? Or if everything is going well, pressures look good, etc., can I just leave it all alone. Any risk or concern?

Dont touch it unless theres problem. Deep clean is not necessary unless you filled it full of floc
