I am double checking to see if I need invest in a new service run for my pool (Gosh I hope not). I have a 200 AMP service at my Meter for my home. I pulled the data from my power company. August is the highest month at around 320 KwH. That would translate to around 133.33 amps max used in a 24 hour period. So it would seem that my max for the year is 133 amps.
I have calculated I will need:
Salt 15 amp
Pump 20 amp
Control 5 amp
Valve 5 amp
Outlets 20 am
Low Voltage X
I am thinking I need an 80 amp service through the Intellicenter. If I add 80 amps in to my 200 current service that would be 213 amps total. Some suggest it is unlikely that my 80 amps would be on all at the same time though.
QUESTION: I was advised "You should talk to a pool equipment tech to see if it all runs simultaneously. If so, I would recommend upgrading your main service"
Your thoughts?
