My pump primes at max speed, which is set somewhere around 3200 RPM. I want to maintain the higher speed for use of the spa, so I don't want to mess with the max speed setting. Priming at this speed seems like overkill and probably unnecessary.
Yesterday, I disabled priming mode and tested things out. The pump is set to start at about 1600 RPM, then bumps up to 2500 RPM for a couple hours. Disabling prime mode doesn't seem to have any negative effects.
With a closed system, what's the purpose of prime mode? Is there any reason I need enable prime mode?
