Hello All,

Wondering if there is a way within the settings of my EasyTouch8 panel to either disable or remove a circuit? I poked around in settings and couldn't find anything obvious.

I recently bypassed my pressure-side cleaner booster bump (upgraded to robot) and while I wait around for warmer weather to disconnect the booster from the panel and remove it from my pad, I'm wondering if it's possible to completely remove the circuit or unbind it from my buttons? Currently it's bound to circuit/button two, and want to eliminate the off chance that the button gets pushed and activates the circuit, burning up the pump in the process.

Thanks!

I couldn't find a way to delete or disable a circuit, either, which I consider weird.

Hardware approaches will work without having to bend your mind around EasyTouch's weirdness.
  • If the booster pump is on its own circuit breaker, just flip the breaker to Off.
  • Otherwise, turn off power to the ET, open the top panel of the ET, and pull the connector from the Aux relay. This may be the best solution if you have little prying fingers in your household that might toggle the circuit breaker.

@Jimrahbe has great knowledge on ET. But an easy solution is to turn off the circuit breaker to the booster pump. Normally each pump should have its own CB so that can be turned off without interfering with any other device.

Z,

Pushing the buttons on the EasyTouch itself will by-pass any programming and turn on the pump.

I suggest that you drop the front panel down and just simple unplug the Aux 2 connector from the main card. (assumes the Aux 2 button is the one that turns on the booster.)

Thanks,

Jim R.

Appreciate the input all! I SHOULD be the only one messing with buttons, but you never know. Didn't even think about throwing the breaker as a stop-gap until I can open it up and pull the Aux connector - good call. Seems like a weird oversight on the software side of things!

Thanks again!
