I bought a (very) cheap salinity tester on Amazon but it's hard to read and use plus it takes quite a long time to register. Can anyone recommend a good one to get?

I have been using this one. It is within a few hundred ppm of my K-1766 tests.

Thanks for that link I have been looking for one of these. I found the below it is the waterproof version of the one you listed.

That's the one that I currently own. The screen is small but it's accurate when I compare the readings to the Taylor reagent test. I am looking for something that may have a bigger screen.

Note that the SALT-3050 has an IP65 reading which is not immersion waterproof. If it is dropped in the pool, there is a good chance it will be ruined.
