Did I do enough to prevent ice from destroying my equipment?

1. Took out two plugs from the pump.
2. Unscrewed and removed the cap at the bottom of the sand filter.

Multiport valve is set on drain. Not sure if anything needs to be done to this part to prevent any pockets of water from developing in the internal compartments and blowing the thing up.

Did I miss anything?

Paul, do you have a "Winter" setting on your Multiport Valve? Did you blow out the lines?

Definitely need to blow the lines out in NYC we get cold around here. I do a little RV antifreeze in certain lines depending on the pool setup

No, did not blow out the lines. It's this valve: SPX0710X32

Do you have an air compressor, even a small one will do. Best and easiest way in my opinion

Your multiport valve has a "closed" setting on it. That will be the setting you leave the valve on after you blow out the lines, etc.
