Thanks! Definitely coming along! Looking at the fact that I don't have a whole lot of yard left, does anyone have any experience with artificial grass? I think this would be a perfect time to put in, instead of putting sod down.

there are a handful of artificial turf options on craigslist in the DFW area. most of it is previously used from sports fields that have been ripped up but you'll occasionally see some leftover from a new job if you look long enough.

There are quite a few on here that have done it and LOVE it! It looks awesome in the pics. They even have tips on how to keep it fluffed and looking nice. Do a search up the search box-upper right of page.

Have you mapped out / discussed your control joints with your decking contractor? You've got a lot of ninety degree corners there and they are always problematic. I would also recommend expansion or isolation joints between any new and existing concrete.

I haven't, I guess I assumed they would know what to do? I'll discuss with my PB this week before they pour. Thanks for the heads up!
